"Dr. Jim" grew up in the South Hills of the Pittsburgh area. After suffering sports related injuries to his neck and spine, and after over a year of "not helpful" visits to conventional doctors, he discovered Chiropractic care. Within a few weeks of starting Chiropractic care he was pain free and able to return to playing the sports he'd been having to sit out of, and getting through school days without headaches. So impressed by his own experience he chose to make Chiropractic his calling.
He attended undergraduate studies at West Virginia University and the University of Pittsburgh before graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic.
In October of 1992, he opened Laurent Chiropractic Center where, 30 years later, he continues to serve the surrounding community. Dr. Jim has always had a thirst for knowledge and after several years in clinical practice, and always looking for more and better ways to help his patients, he chose to expand his knowledge and skill set by enrolling in multiple post-doctorate programs offered through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. There he learned cutting edge holistic approaches to assess, restore, and enhance human performance.
